An Assistant Distiller supports the Head Distiller in various aspects of the distillation process.
Responsibilities include assisting with the production of spirits, monitoring equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
This role involves:
1.
Production Assistance:
Collaborating with the distillation team to prepare and operate equipment for the production of spirits.
This includes handling raw materials, operating stills, and managing fermentation processes.
2.
Quality Control:
Conducting regular quality checks on raw materials, intermediate products, and finished spirits.
Assisting in maintaining consistency and adherence to brand standards.
3.
Equipment Maintenance:
Participating in the maintenance and cleaning of distillation equipment.
Reporting and addressing any malfunctions or issues promptly to ensure smooth operations.
4.
Record Keeping:
Accurately documenting production activities, including ingredient quantities, process parameters, and quality control measures.
Maintaining organized records for regulatory compliance.
5.
Safety Compliance:
Adhering to safety protocols and regulations in the distillery.
Ensuring a safe working environment for oneself and the team.
6.
Process Improvement:
Collaborating with the Head Distiller to identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements.
7.
Team Collaboration:
Working closely with colleagues to achieve production goals, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
No distillation experience required.
