Human Resources Talent Recruiter (Part Time)

Overview
Based at the Flagstaff Regional Office, this position is responsible for partnering in the staffing efforts of Grand Canyon Railway and The Grand Hotel, assisting in building a strong workforce that adds to the company's positive culture and bottom line.
Responsibilities
Fully understand and support Xanterra Mission Statement and Core Values.
Partnering with hiring managers to determine staffing needs.
Screening applications and resumes of candidates.
Performing in-person and phone interviews with candidates.
Administering appropriate company assessments.
Performing reference and background checks.
Making recommendations to company hiring managers.
Coordinating interviews with the hiring managers
Following up on the interview process status.
Maintaining relationships with both internal and external clients to ensure staffing goals are achieved.
Communicating employer information and benefits during screening process.
Staying current on the company's organization structure, personnel policy, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
Serving as a liaison with area employment agencies, colleges, and industry associations.
Completing timely reports on employment activity.
Participates in talent finding events such as job fairs.
Conducting exit interviews on terminating employees.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous 1-2 years work experience in Human Resources as a Recruiter, Hiring Manager or HR Generalist.
Thorough knowledge of employment law as it pertains to recruitment.
Basic Competencies:
Verbal comprehension (Understand oral and written communications, follow detailed direction).
Attention to Detail skills (minimize the risk of error)
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (provide clear instructions/directions)
Reasoning skills (problem solving and troubleshooting skills)
Multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
Basic math skills.
Employment Conditions:
Work safely to prevent on the job accidents and injuries
Work safely to ensure company equipment is secure.
Complete required training programs.
Work hours may include a nonstandard workweek, overtime, and various shift work as needed.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is:
Constantly sitting, handling, reach outward, listening, hearing, seeing, standing, walking, using eye/hand coordination, handling, wrist motion.
Frequently walk and lift or carry up to 10 lbs.
Occasionally, reach above shoulder, squat or kneel, lift/carry and push or pull up to 100lbs.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
